About MHCS

The Mental Health Community Support (MHCS) division was created to bridge the gap in mental health resources for personal support workers and the broader community.

As an initiative of the Ontario Personal Support Workers Association (OPSWA), MHCS is dedicated to advocacy, education, and direct support services. Founded by Miranda (Ferrier) Romanowicz, CEO of OPSWA and the Canadian Support Workers Association (CANSWA), MHCS is built on firsthand experience and a deep commitment to improving mental health accessibility and awareness.

Young Adult Autism Support Group (ages 18-30)

Wednesdays from 7pm – 8pm

A welcoming space for autistic individuals to connect, share experiences, and support one another. Join us weekly for open discussions and a strong sense of community.

Adult Autism Support Group (ages 30 and over)

Mondays from 7pm – 8pm

A free, judgment-free space for autistic adults to engage in meaningful conversations, share insights, and find support from others who understand.

Support Circle for Parents of Autistic Children

First Wednesday of each month from 7pm – 8pm

A compassionate space for parents and caregivers to share experiences, seek advice, and connect with others on a similar journey.
