The Allied Member category is designed for individuals who assist with Personal Support Worker (PSW) duties or provide patient care services without formal PSW training.

This membership is intended for independent caregivers working in Family-Managed Home Care (FMHC) arrangements who require appropriate liability protection while providing care in a client’s home.

Insurance Coverage Included

This membership includes Professional Liability Insurance that meets the coverage requirements of Ontario Health at Home, including:

• $2,000,000 Errors & Omissions Coverage
• $2,000,000 Commercial General Liability Coverage
• $50,000 Abuse Liability Coverage

This coverage helps ensure caregivers can provide care safely and confidently in clients’ homes.

• Coverage applies to individual caregivers only
• Not valid for companies, agencies, or organizations
• Cannot cover multiple employees
• Non-transferable
• Non-cancellable once activated
