Due to the mass shortage of Personal Support Workers in the Province of Ontario, the Ontario PSW Association is answering the call for help. OPSWA is very specific as to who can apply and be granted an International PSW Membership. This is a case-by-case basis.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have a Developmental Service Diploma or a Health Care Aide Certificate from Ontario and wish to join the OPSWA, please register under the PSW Membership. However, if you are providing care and are not a PSW or not approved for the International PSW Membership, please register under our Pathway Membership.
This program is open to any new Canadian who is legally allowed to work in Canada and is looking to gain experience in Ontario Health care.
All International PSW Members are covered under a 2-million-dollar professional liability and will be recognized as a Personal Support Worker under OPSWA and receive OPSWA Digital Verified Credentials and an OPSWA badge. This membership does not include a PSW certificate.

Once you click on the link, you will have 5 hours to complete the consent process. If you DO NOT complete the steps OPSWA will charge you an additional $75 to create a new link to complete the application and your membership will be on hold.
