I am a mother to three boys! The oldest is 19; he is currently in college up North taking the Paramedic Program! My middle son is 18 and starts college in September, hopefully taking the PSW program before doing police foundations!

My youngest son is 14 and in grade 9 and loves video games, as many teens do! I have been married to my husband for 14 years. He was a fantastic support person when I decided to take the Personal Support Worker program (as an adult, wife, and mother of 3 young boys). He continues to support my craziness as a PSW! I have worked many positions as a Personal Support Worker through the years: long-term care, hospice, and home care. Currently, I’m a PSW in the ER at my regional hospital.

During covid, I was deployed voluntarily to several outbreaks to help with the shortage of staff in some of the worst-hit homes. It was such an experience and an honour to do that. So many wonderful people were brought together to save lives. I love being a personal support worker and wouldn’t change it for anything. In my downtime, I love hiking, painting ceramics, shopping, home decorating, and many family nights with snacks and movies!!
