Biography

A lifelong resident of Cambridge, Janet brings extensive experience in social services and education to her roles. With 27 years of experience as a Child and Youth Worker, she has been a dedicated professional in her field. For 12 years, Janet was an integral part of the Family and Children’s Services Foster Home Support Program. Following this, she transitioned to the Waterloo Catholic District School Board, where she has spent the last 15 years as a Child and Youth Worker in Intensive Behaviour Support. Additionally, Janet served as a Behaviour Management Systems Trainer for several years with the WCDSB.

Janet specializes in working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has received training from The Autism Partnership Foundation in addition to The Geneva Center for Autism.  Her expertise in these areas underscores her commitment to bridging the gap between child and adult autism services, ensuring that individuals on the spectrum receive continuous and effective support, significantly enhancing their quality of life.

In addition to her professional achievements, Janet maintains a fulfilling and balanced life. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, friends, and her beloved dog, Zoe.
