CANSWA & OPSWA Membership Cancellation Policy

Personal Support Worker Membership is non-refundable. 

Monthly Membership Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your OPSWA membership, please follow these steps:

  1. Notify Us: Send an email to info@opswa.com with the subject line: “Cancelling my OPSWA Membership.”
  2. Return Your ID Badge: Mail your OPSWA ID Badge to our head office within 10 business days.
  3. Settle Your Membership Dues:
    • Memberships are based on an annual commitment. If you choose to cancel, you are required to pay out the remainder of your 12-month term. This ensures we can cover the administrative costs of approvals, background checks, and other services provided at the time of membership activation.
    • Outstanding dues will be calculated based on the remaining months of your 12-month term. Payment is due within 10 business days.
  4. Cancellation Fee: Pay a one-time processing fee of $50 to cover cancellation administration. This fee may be waived if canceling due to extenuating circumstances—please contact us to discuss.

  • Failure to pay outstanding dues may result in additional fees or legal action.
  • Upon membership cancellation, your insurance policy will also be terminated.

Annual Membership Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your OPSWA annual membership, please follow these steps:

  1. Notify Us: Send an email to info@opswa.com with the subject line: “Cancelling my OPSWA Membership.”
  2. Return Your ID Badge: Mail your OPSWA ID Badge to our head office within 10 business days.
  3. Settle Membership Dues:
    • Cancellation within 2 business days of purchase (excluding holidays): A one-time processing fee of $50 will be deducted to cover cancellation administration, and the remainder of your payment will be refunded.
    • Cancellation after 2 business days: Your membership fee is non-refundable. A one-time processing fee of $50 will apply to cover cancellation administration, and all outstanding dues for the remainder of your term must be paid.

OPSWA reserves the right to legally act for unpaid dues. If you have any questions concerning our cancellation policy, please get in touch with OPSWA at info@opswa.com. OPSWA will also cancel your insurance policy, which will be cancelled upon your membership cancellation.
