‘No more hiding the secrets’: Ontario’s long term care providers

Advocates for the elderly worry that another provincial inquiry – this one into the murder spree by a long-term care nurse – won’t be enough to protect the growing number of frail seniors at risk of neglect and abuse.

“Enough with the inquires and research committees. It may be in the headlines now, but we’ve been fighting this issue for years. It’s time for action,” says Miranda Ferrier, President of the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association.
